On Tuesday, 20th May, year 2 children joined in a lively “Skip to Be Fit” workshop. Whether they were brand-new to skipping or looking to sharpen their skills, everyone had a blast! With special counting ropes, they could see exactly how many jumps they managed—and then cheer each other on to beat their own scores. It was a fun, energetic way to get moving and enjoy some healthy competition.

Art - Emily Gravett
In our Art lessons this term we have been observing the work of the illustrator Emily Gravett. We have sketched meerkats in proportion from secondary sources and explored different pencil types to help us show tonal values and form. We completed our art work by using water colours to mix and paint our final piece of work.
.History - First Aid
As our topic this half term is Nurturing Nurses we thought it would be useful to learn some basic first aid. During our mini first aid course we learnt to deal with bumps, burns, breaks and bleeding, carry out CPR and deal with choking. We took part in lots of enjoyable, practical tasks and had lots of fun.

Safer Internet Day
On Tuesday 11th February, Year 2 celebrated Safer Internet Day by taking part in an exciting online lesson. We stepped into the virtual world of scam smashers where we worked together to outsmart digital tricksters to protect our personal information. The lesson taught us how we should discuss and respond to online safety issues and gave us lots of tips to help us navigate the digital world with confidence. 2JH made some online safety posters and 2JC created strong example passwords using a useful recipe.
