Today, we celebrated Safer Internet Day by joining a live lesson with the BBC. This year’s theme, “Too good to be True”, allowed us to investigate scams, phishing and password protection for our devices.

In Year 5 music this term, we are learning about the Blues. We have been learning how to make chords on the glockenspiels!

Lunar New Year

To celebrate Lunar New Year, we discussed how people all around the world might be celebrating the Year of the Snake! After our discussion, we made coiled snakes of our own!

RSPB Bird Watch

To celebrate the RSPB’s Bird Watch, we went outside to investigate what birds we could see in our school environment. We saw lots of different species that included magpies, pigeons and even a robin!

Art - Michelangelo

In art, we have been looking at the work of Michelangelo. We researched his work, presented to our classes and created fantastic monoprints. Take a look!

In Year 5 this term, we have been learning all about Ancient Greece and the food they eat. We created our very own Greek salad and got to try different foods!
