Safeguarding Information for Parents

Greenside is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that doing so would be contrary to the child's welfare. You can also contact the Tameside Safeguarding Hub on 0161 342 4101 to report a concern.

Always Available

All the children at Greenside know that there is always someone who they can talk to if they need to. We remind the children of this regularly and provide posters for the children as a physical reminder too, signposting them to who and where.

Operation Encompass

On 21^st January 2019, Greenside is implementing a new project that will run jointly between schools and Greater Manchester Police. This project is called Operation Encompass. It aims to support children who are affected by domestic violence by ensuring that their school is informed. This allows the school to support the children. If you have any other questions about this project, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
